”Another excellent place to dine on the trek between Christchurch and Nelson - brilliant. The food is lovely, so quick and beautifully made. Very happy also with the price and the cheerful service - such lovely people. We relaxed mid-travel and were back on the road happy, fed and calm. A great place to take a break.

”We booked on chance even though we had read terrible reviews from previous years. What a delight it was that we booked to stay two nights. Our upstairs ensuite room ( at a reasonable price) with very comfy bed, cubicle shower, heated room if required , windows, good wifi, free to air tv. The owner, Leigh, so friendly and courtesy, the staff friendly, the locals good to interact with for sights to see, the meals were delicious. Each day the tourists pulling in for a drink and feed says it all. Would stay again if passing through.

”Had a very good Friday night in the bar watching super rugby. The staff were friendly and the steak and vegetable meal was superb. Compliments to the chef. A roaring wood burner kept the place nice and warm. We'll be back.
